The goal of the Diploma in Hotel Management (DHM) program is to prepare students for successful business careers in a global economy. This is achieved by providing students with the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to meet the challenges and opportunities of a global business market characterized by complexity, uncertainty, and diversity. Hotel management is the only professional Course which opens up employment opportunities immediately after completion of the course. The course motivates guides and actively pursues research in various academic and applied fields of hospitality industry.

Programme Objective

The objective of the Diploma courses in Hotel Management is the programme helps students to meet the industry\’s need for competent hospitality trade. Its programme creates opportunities for students to improve their technical & management skills, to develop more professional pride and create a sounder basis to develop career prospects. The programme covers four major departments with specialization in anyone of them:

  • Food Production.
  • Food & Beverages Services.
  • Front Office Operation.
  • Accommodation Operation.

Eligibility

Candidates who have passed Senior Secondary School (12th) from a recognized board.

Duration

The Program Duration for DHM will be Three Years comprising of Six Semesters, Students may choose to take breaks in between subjects/parts. However, they are expected to follow a normative period of Five years i.e. Students will have to complete the program within Five years from session start date.
