Traditional Examination
Traditional examination is taken in a fixed time period under the supervision of the teacher and does not allow any written material at the place of examination. Students will get 3 hours for each exam. Only single subject exam will be conduct by institution in a day.
Online Examination
Online examination is taken in a fixed time period under the supervision of the IEMS E-Studies experts and does not allow any written material at the place of examination. Students will get 2 hours for each exam. Only single subject exam will be conduct by institution in a day. Negative marking would be implemented as per IEMS examinations policies.
Case Studies Examination
The Case Studies Examination is not all about to copy the answer from any of the reference book but it about how you apply information and knowledge. The examinations given by the students in a definite time period by allowing opening and writing from their textbooks were operational as the Case Studies Based examination. Case Studies Based exams allow you to take notes, texts or resource materials into an exam situation. Case Studies Based exams test your ability to find and apply information and knowledge. They are often used in subjects requiring direct reference to written materials, like law statutes, statistics or acts of parliament.
The students are assessed based on course work and examination for every program. As soon as the students feel confident that they are ready to appear for the exams they can contact the institute for the question papers, which can be answered at their comfortable places itself.The candidates are required to submit their answer sheets within the prescribed time limit to the institute by any means.
This unique methodology helps students to write best answers based on case studies and personal experience, a format similar to that of students in PhD program. IEMS has designed this liberal and novel education methodology that allows students to make maximum benefits in writing answers of their own choice comfortably.
The panels of experienced professors design the question papers. The questions are designed in such a way that there may be no option for copying the answer for that from any of the reference books. Those answers will require personal skills to understand and analyze a managerial situation.
If the students desire to appear for three hour class room examination, they can do so. The exams will be conducted at various IEMS study centers. In such a case the students will not be allowed to refer the study material in the examination center. The students should intimate the preference for this option at the time of registration.
One Sitting Examination
A “single sitting” is a program in India that allows students to condense a three-year bachelor’s/Post Graduate program into one year/6 months of study. At the end of the course of study, the student completes exit exams in a single sitting – hence the term single sitting programme.
If the student had earlier been a student of the first year or second year or third year of a programme in a recognized college or School of distance education or directorate or institute of correspondence courses of a recognized university and had discontinued for whatever reason, he/she is eligible for One sitting admission to the second year or third year of the name programme respectively.Examinations are conducted twice a year in May/June and December/January at specified examination centers.
Printed materials are the primary form of instructional materials. These are supplied to the candidates in the form of booklets. The printed material would be sufficient to the extent of about 75% to 80% to write any assignment responses and prepare of the term-end examinations. The application for Re-totaling /Revaluation must be made within 15 days from the receipt of the statement of marks. The fee prescribed for Re-totaling per paper is Rs 300 and for revaluation is 350.
