Mechanical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering as a discipline has, perhaps, the widest applications. Engineers use the principles of physics to design, analyze, manufacture and maintain mechanical systems across different industry platforms. The Mechanical Engineers are trained in mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, energy etc. and can apply their skills across industries such as automobiles, aviation, heating & cooling systems and virtually all manufacturing facilities from medical equipment, white goods manufacturers, automobile manufacturing, OEM’s to various industries etc. Apart from direct involvement in manufacturing, Mechanical Engineers are also involved in consulting, advisory services and research and development of mechanical devises and also associated maintenance services.

Programme Objective
The goal of this BE Course is to combine excellence and research with service to society. This will provide students with a balance of intellectual and practical experiences. Actually integration through information and knowledge sharing has the potential to offer designers and manufacturing engineers improved decision support based on the provision of high quality information.
Mechanical engineering is one of the top most career choices made by students in India. There are a lots of career opportunities in this field for young aspirants. Graduates from this field are mainly employed in manufacturing firms. Mechanical engineers can seek employment in private sector industries of various types. They can also find job in sectors such as electronics, chemical, power plants, steel plants and automobile as well as the railways, need mechanical engineers to design and maintain their machinery.
