Chemical Engineering
Chemical engineering is applied chemistry, concerned with the design, construction & operation of machines & plants that perform chemical reactions to solve practical problems or make useful products. It is all about transformation, gaining fundamental knowledge about a substance & then using that knowledge to synthesize a solution to an important medical, mechanical or societal need. From creating face creams to fuels you need the science of Chemical Engineering.
Programme Objective
The primary objective of this program is to engage and prepare students for careers which demand a command of the principles of Chemical Engineering. The aim of the curriculum is to provide a challenging educational environment in which students develop solid engineering fundamentals while honing both advanced computer and communication skills. The goal of this effort is to develop innovative and articulate graduates who can lead productive careers in their chosen fields of endeavor. All of our efforts are done in the context of serving the educational and technical resource needs of the people.
Eligibility
- To develop knowledge and skills required for immediate employment as a professional engineer in Chemical Engineering.
- To develop an understanding of and an ability to apply basic mathematics, chemical, physical and information sciences to the practice of Chemical Engineering. To prepare students for future career paths and life-long learning.
- To enable students to better contribute to national development in the context of globalization.
- Candidates who have passed Intermediate (12th) with PCM from a recognized board.
- Diploma holders (10+3) of recognized university with at least two years’ post qualification work experience required.
